•••    I know everyone has been complaining about the general lack of exciting or interesting webby award nominees - but thanks to the webbys I just found the cave of lascaux, and I'm in awe. (that's partly because I took a course in human evolution last semester and I was completely mesmerised and fascinated by all the art stuff. I think the common perception of cave art is that it is crude and childlike, but it really isn't! there are some incredible sculptures and paintings . . . just slides of them left me breathless. but enough gushing. I'm such a geek. :)

•••    okay, I finished (almost anyway) my math homework, but I only did it by not paying any attention in class so I could focus on work. which is stupid, because now when I do the next assignment I won't have any idea what it's talking about . . . actually, that probably would have been the case even if I had been paying attention today. oh well. on a positive note, I actually did my cognitive science reading before I let myself come anywhere near the computer lab. yay!

•••    I was listening to the radio today and there was a commercial for the movie whatever it takes. I wasn't really paying attention until I heard the narrator person say it was about a guy who wanted a girl and wouldn't take no for an answer. (note to everyone: do take no for an answer. please.) out of some sort of morbid curiousity, I went to the movie's website. there's a shockwave game that will let you try different methods of coming on to people - the game's tagline is "conquer the heart and you will have the body." I know the movie is supposedly based on cyrano debergerac, and I don't want to condemn it without having seen it, but this is icky advertising.

•••    my knee got cut up at rugby practice yesterday - it really didn't hurt, but it wouldn't stop bleeding (I bleed a lot thanks to my tired platelets). so now I finally get to use one of my big tattoo bandaids! yay! I have a big squishy turquoise celtic knot thing on my knee. I'm looking forward to showing it off at practice today. ;)

•••    elise has golden silly putty! I like the glow in the dark variety, personally, but I haven't had silly putty in years. not since I discovered how to make goop - it's good stuff. I think it's more fun to skip the food coloring and just color it in with magic markers. then when it rubs off, you can give it a makeover!
